Hannu and Jukka Räbinä. Petri and Janne have nothing to
do with the game itself, we have just created some
additional tracks and cars.

You can't. GeneRally does not support background music.

Yes it is. I haven't ever tried it, but there are boats
for GR, for example:

Windows Paint is the program we use for more accurate
editing, but most of the work is still done in the
standard track editor. To learn more about creating
tracks, please see the
tutorial section.

Use the "import land" function. There are some
requirements for the image file: it has to be in 16 color
BMP format, and its resolution has to be 512x512. The
easiest way to make sure that the image format is right
is to first export a bitmap from the editor ("export land"
function) and then edit it.

Well, this is a question with no answer. Janne has some
compatibility problems with his new computer, and that is
probably the reason why he hasn't created a new track for a
long time.
I create tracks when or if I get an inspiration. Those
inspirations are quite few today, but sometimes they
occur.

By pressing either F11 or F12 while playing. The created
image files will be found in the subfolder "Screens", which
is located in the GeneRally folder.
The difference between F11 and F12 is that when F12 is used,
the resolution of screenshots will always be the same
as the resolution of the game. When using F11, the
resolution is set in the file "gr.ini".

Some user submitted car files are distributed in
KANN1STO.com, but no more will be taken. The reason is
that too many car authors used other user's cars as a
basis if their own car without mentioning it.
Copyright laws are taken seriously in KANN1STO.com. It
just took too much time and energy to make sure that a car
was not illegal.
User submitted tracks have never been released in
KANN1STO.com, and the reason is that user made tracks are
very common. It would take a lot of time and resources
keep such page running. Creating web pages is not very
hard nowadays, so if you think of making your own page,
go for it! A site doesn't have to be incredibly cool to
meet its purpose.

Hold down the secondary button of your mouse and then move
the mouse. I had this problem when I tried to create my
first track.

The water level of a track can be set in track properties
("track properties" button in the track editor). When a
spot on a track is low enough, there will be water. So,
to get water, first choose a suitable water level and then
lower the hmap wherever you want the water to be.
